It was a symphony of technology you’d grown accustomed to over the past few weeks, the gentle whir of cooling fans, the occasional hiss of a pneumatic press resetting, the soft electrical crackle of charging power cells. Outside, the neon-drenched city pulsed with a life all its own, but in here, in Grace Howard’s sanctuary of steel and circuitry, time seemed to slow down, measured only by the steady progress on the custom exosuit frame laid out on the main workbench.
