A Late Night Practice Session Leads to an Intense Encounter Between the Stoic Manager Kiyoko Shimizu and Her Most Devoted Admirer in the Quiet Karasuno Gymnasium

The rhythmic drumming of a late-autumn rain echoed against the corrugated metal roof of the Karasuno High School gymnasium, creating a private sanctuary away from the rest of the world. Most of the volleyball team had already headed home, their shouts and the thunderous sound of spiking balls replaced by the soft hum of the overhead lights and the distant splash of puddles outside. Kiyoko Shimizu , the team’s ethereal and usually stoic manager, remained behind to finish the inventory of the equipment.
