A Divine Communion: Rory Mercury's Sacred Night of Carnal Worship

The air in the private chamber provided by the JSDF was thick with a strange and potent mixture of scents. The sharp, clean smell of antiseptic from the main base couldn't quite penetrate these walls, defeated by the heady aroma of jasmine incense burning in a small clay dish and the fainter, almost metallic tang that always seemed to cling to Rory Mercury herself, the scent of old blood and ancient stone. Moonlight, filtered through the unfamiliar glass of the window, painted silver stripes across the polished wooden floor, catching the deep ebony silk of her gothic lolita dress and the ivory pallor of her skin.
