Platform Update: Faster Browsing, Content Reliability Improvements, and New Community Uploads
Hello everyone!
Just one day after the previous big update, we are back with another improvement-focused release. This update is all about stability, speed, and smoother browsing—plus more community uploads added to the library.
Reliability Improvements
We fixed an issue where character images were not refreshing correctly in certain areas of the site. Everything now updates consistently and feels noticeably smoother during long browsing sessions.
Behind the Scenes: Why Updates Are Not Instant
A common question is: “If the community uploads new characters, why don’t they appear immediately?”
Here is the short answer: Hentai Studio runs on Nginx with static site generation. Pages are not generated on the server in real time. This approach keeps hosting costs dramatically lower and ensures fast loading worldwide.
The entire site is generated offline and then deployed as a compiled build. With roughly 15,000 pages, a real-time build on a typical server would be unstable. Even on a powerful workstation, full generation is demanding. We also handle compression and performance optimization during the build process.
Today the archive has grown to around 420,000 images and 10,000 characters. The scale is massive, and the architecture is designed to keep the experience fast and reliable as the library continues to grow.
Community Content Expansion
New character pages and image sets have been added by the community in another strong wave of uploads. To keep this news clean and readable, we are not publishing long repeated lists—just know that the catalog continues to expand across many popular anime and manga franchises.
Thank you for supporting the project and for contributing content.
